Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 April 2025 · Tickraft, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia
Please read these terms carefully before sending a watch to Tickraft or submitting an enquiry. By engaging our services, you indicate that you have read and understood these terms.
1. About Tickraft
Tickraft is a watch repair workshop operating at 19 Jalan Gaya, 88000 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. We provide watchmaking and restoration services to private individuals and collectors. These terms govern the relationship between Tickraft and any person who contacts us or submits a watch for service.
2. Enquiries and Quotations
Submitting an enquiry does not constitute a service agreement. A quotation is provided after we have assessed the watch, either in person or based on photographs and descriptions provided. Quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
Where the condition of the watch changes the scope of work once bench work has begun, we will pause and contact you before proceeding. You may accept the revised scope, request partial work only, or ask for the watch to be returned as received.
2.1 Pricing
Prices listed on our website are starting reference points and reflect standard scope for each service. The final price may vary depending on the watch's condition, the parts required, and any complications encountered during the work. You will always be informed of any change before we proceed.
3. Submitting a Watch
You may bring your watch to the workshop in person or ship it to us. If shipping, we recommend using a tracked, insured courier service appropriate for the value of the watch. We accept responsibility for the watch from the moment it is received at our workshop.
3.1 Condition on receipt
We document the condition of each watch on arrival with photographs. These records are shared with the owner before work begins. If you dispute our condition assessment, please let us know within 48 hours of receiving the documentation.
4. The Service Process
Once a watch is accepted and scope is agreed, we will carry out the work described in the quotation. For standard services, we aim to complete work within the timeframe discussed at acceptance. For Heritage Refurbishment Programme pieces, the timeline will be agreed separately and is typically four to eight weeks depending on the watch's condition.
We will keep you informed at meaningful intervals. For heritage work, you will receive photographs and written notes at each significant stage.
5. Parts and Materials
Where original manufacturer parts are available, we prefer to use them. Where they are not, we source equivalent quality parts and will advise you before fitting anything that departs from the original specification. We do not fit parts without your knowledge or consent.
6. Collection and Return
Once work is complete, you will be notified by the contact method you provided. Watches should be collected or shipping instructions provided within 30 days of notification. After 60 days, we may charge a modest storage fee. After 180 days without contact, we reserve the right to treat the watch as unclaimed.
If we are returning a watch by courier, we will use a tracked, insured service. The shipping cost will be communicated to you in advance and added to the final invoice.
7. Payment
Payment is due in full upon collection or before the watch is dispatched for return. We accept cash, bank transfer, and other payment methods as communicated at the time of invoicing. We will not release a watch until payment has been received and cleared.
8. Liability
We take reasonable care with every watch entrusted to us. Our liability for any loss or damage caused by our negligence is limited to the agreed service value, except where required otherwise by Malaysian law.
We are not liable for pre-existing faults that are outside the scope of the agreed work, or for damage arising from the owner's use of the watch after return.
9. Warranties on Work
We stand behind the work we do. If a fault arises that is directly attributable to our workmanship within three months of completion, we will review and address it at no additional charge. This does not cover normal wear, subsequent damage, or faults outside the scope of the original work.
10. Intellectual Property
Photographs we take of your watch remain our property and may be used for internal records. We will not publish photographs of your watch publicly without your prior consent.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sabah, Malaysia.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after any revision indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
